The Milan Motorcycle Show has always been a platform for companies to showcase their new mighty machines. Now Ducati has launched three new bikes at the 2012 EICMA International Motorcycle Show in Milan. The new launches are from three different segments- sports bike, a cruiser and a naked bike. First off, the 2013 Ducati 1199 Panigale R sports bike. Powering the superbike is a Superquadro 1198 cc liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine. The powerplant churns out 195 BHP of power at 10,750 RPM and a maximum torque of 132 Nm.

The attractive feature about the 2013 Panigale are the light weight titanium connecting rods and flywheel which allow the 1199 R’s engine to rev 500 RPM higher than the S version. The R-race kit upgrades help with a three percent increase in power in high range and a fifteen percent increase in the mid-rev range. Next one is a naked bike, the 2013 Ducati Hypermotard featured with an 821 cc, 11-degree V-Twin, liquid-cooled DS engine. This engine has a smaller bore and a longer stroke which helps it churn a maximum power of 110 BHP and a peak 89 Nm of torque.

The Hypermotard comes standard with Ducati safety system comprising of ABS and Ducati traction control and have three riding modes – Sport, Touring and Urban. Coming as versions to the Hypermotard are the Hyperstrada featuring a 848 cc engine, windscreen and a revised touring-oriented seat and the Hypermotard SP which have increased travel on the both suspensions and forged wheels instead of the cast wheels. The Hypermotard starts with a price tag of $11,995, the Hyperstrada for $13,295 and the SP version for $14,695.

The 2013 Ducati Diavel Strada gets its power from the Testastretta 11 degree, L-Twin, liquid-cooled engine with 4-valves per cylinder which packs 162 BHP of power and a peak torque of 127.4 Nm.

Also on offer is Diavel carbon version which makes use of plenty of carbon fiber to reduce the weight by about three lgs from the regular overall weight of 206.8 kgs. Being a touring bike, every detail ensures comfort and driving pleasure for the rider and it comes loaded with more technology than it ought to have. A ride-by-wire throttle system, ABS, traction control, keyless ignition and wide tyres. The Diavel Strada will lighten your pockets by $16,995 and the carbon version will cost about $3000 more than the base version.
